Atlanta native Rob Birdsong came home from a decade around Brooklyn pizza shops and couldn't find the quick, satisfying hot slice he'd been missing. So he made one.
The craving
Rob grew up in Atlanta, spent years in Brooklyn's slice culture, then came home and realized that perfect grab-and-go slice just didn't exist here yet.
The Beltline beginning
In 2020, Glide opened as a walk-up pizza window — designed from the start to bring street-food convenience and craft-level quality to Atlanta's beloved trail. No frills, no fuss: just a great hot slice you could grab and keep moving.
The work in every slice
Every pie starts with 48-hour fermented dough and in-house mozzarella — because those details are the difference between a good slice and one you think about later.
Growing with ATL
What started at one Beltline window now spans Old Fourth Ward, Decatur, and South Downtown — elevated pizza from people who genuinely love being here.
